Day 1 – Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)

  • Location: Kilimanjaro International Airport

  • Activity: Arrive in Tanzania. Transfer to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi. Rest and prepare for the safari.

  • Notes: Depending on arrival time, enjoy a brief city walk or relax at your lodge.


Day 2 – Arusha National Park

  • Location: Arusha National Park

  • Travel: 30–45 minutes by car from Arusha town.

  • Activity:

    • Morning game drive to see giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and colobus monkeys.

    • Hike Mount Meru foothills or Momella Lakes for birdwatching and flamingos.

  • Highlight: Scenic landscapes with a mix of wildlife, crater lakes, and Mount Meru views.


Day 3 – Tarangire National Park

  • Location: Tarangire National Park

  • Travel: ~2 hours by car from Arusha.

  • Activity:

    • Full-day safari in Tarangire, known for large elephant herds, baobab trees, and predators.

    • Optional picnic lunch in the park.

  • Highlight: Giant elephant herds, iconic baobab forests, and excellent birdwatching.


Day 4 – Lake Manyara National Park

  • Location: Lake Manyara National Park

  • Travel: ~1–2 hours from Tarangire.

  • Activity:

    • Morning or afternoon safari in this compact, wildlife-rich park.

    • Look for tree-climbing lions, hippos, flamingos, and baboons.

  • Highlight: Unique park with a mix of forest, wetlands, and lake-edge habitats.


Day 5 – Serengeti National Park (Central West/East)

  • Location: Serengeti National Park

  • Travel:

    • By 4×4: ~5–6 hours from Lake Manyara/Ngorongoro, OR

    • By light aircraft: ~1 hour for luxury travel.

  • Activity:

    • Afternoon game drive in central Serengeti.

    • Spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, wildebeest, zebras, and elephants.

  • Highlight: Enter the iconic Serengeti plains; abundant wildlife and stunning sunset views.


Day 6 – Serengeti National Park (Central West/East)

  • Activity: Full-day safari with morning and afternoon game drives.

  • Optional: Visit different zones to see migration paths (season-dependent).

Day 7 – Serengeti National Park (Central West/East)

    • Sunrise hot air balloon flight over the Serengeti (optional but spectacular).

    • Full-day safari continuing exploration of the central zones.

Day 8 – Ngorongoro Conservation Area (Crater Safari)

  • Location: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

  • Travel: 3–4 hours by 4×4 from Serengeti (or short flight to airstrip near crater).

  • Activity:

    • Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day safari.

    • Spot lions, rhinos, elephants, buffalo, hippos, flamingos, and hyenas.

  • Highlight: One of the densest wildlife populations in Africa in a stunning crater setting.


Days 9–10 – Departure

  • Travel: Transfer back to Kilimanjaro International Airport.

  • Activity: Outbound international flight home.
